One Week!

One week from today, Fracture will officially be on the shelves...

But the day before that, Walker/Bloomsbury will be hosting an eleven hour event on the Fracture Facebook page: FRACTURE FEST!

From the page: "Wherever you are in the world, on Monday, January 16th, log in to Facebook from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm EST for eleven hours of book discussions, polls, videos, amazing giveaways, and a chance to meet Megan Miranda! Connect with other YA fans, chat with Megan, and take home amazing prizes!"

All giveaways will be INTERNATIONAL. "Every time you comment on a post, participate in a poll, or "like" a status during Fracture Fest, you're entered to win one of the hourly prizes—you could even win the grand prize, a Flip Cam! We're counting down the minutes—see you there!"

Hope you can make it!

Then...on the 17th, I'll be at Books of Wonder in NYC with Carrie Ryan, Beth Revis, Julie Cross, & Maureen Lipinski. If you can make it, please let us know here.

When I get back home, I'll be celebrating Fracture's publication at the Barnes & Noble in Birkdale Village at 12pm on Saturday, January 21st. In the Charlotte area? I'd love to see you! Details on the tour page.

I am not an author, simply a teacher who loves to read teen books and share them with my students. I read Hunger Games before anyone ever heard of it and countless others books. However, I have never felt compelled to blog or post a comment to any author before. I am doing so now because this book really touched me and I believe students or individuals of all ages could relate to the issues and questions this story raises in their own lives. The characters are real, their struggles to understand life and it's meaning are believable and most importantly, I think anyone fortunate enough to read the book will grasp that your life is what you make it. It is a matter of perspective. You choose. Thank you for an amazing read that I actually could not put down. Congrats on your first book!
